3-8-19 - UPDATE: Rape Suspect Arrested
UPDATE (3/8/19):
The Chattanooga Police Department has arrested Ronald Strickland in relation to a rape that occurred on 11/11/2017 in the North Shore area. He is charged with rape and especially aggravated burglary. Mr. Strickland was transported and booked into the Hamilton County Jail.
Suspect (In-Custody): Ronald B. Strickland (Male, 03/04/1978)
Charges: Rape & Especially Aggravated Burglary
3-8-19 Secure Firearms Responsibly
Since January 1, 2018 thru March 5, 2019 the Chattanooga Police Department has taken reports of 395 firearms stolen from vehicles in the city of Chattanooga. Owning and carrying a firearm is a great responsibility that should not be taken lightly. When it comes to securing those firearms, citizens should exercise the same responsibility by ensuring that their firearms are properly stored and secured at home and even more so when in a vehicle.
3-7-19 Traffic Crash / Fatal - 3800 Hixson Pike
On March 6, 2019 at approximately 7:00 p.m., a fatal single vehicle crash occurred at 3800 Hixson Pike. The Chattanooga Police Traffic / DUI Division responded to the scene. The following was determined through interview, investigation, and observation:
