Gas / Mechanical / Plumbing Permits
WHEN IS A PERMIT REQUIRED?
Any work to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, demolish, convert or replace an installation or to cause such work to be done shall apply for and obtain the required permit before beginning work. Where piping, equipment and or appliance replacements and repairs are required to be performed in an emergency situation, the permit application shall be submitted within the next working business day of the Land Development Office.

NOTICE:
SECTION 917. AIR ADMITTANCE VALVES FOR VENTING PLUMBING FIXTURES AND FIXTURES BRANCHES;
"917.9 – Any use of air admittance valves on fixture branches is subject to the discretion and approval of the Chief Plumbing Official."
The use of air admittance valves is prohibited on any new construction.
SEWER REPAIRS: If for any reason the horizontal portion of a building sewer has to be breached for repair, this will require a permit by a licensed plumbing contractor. Contractor will call for inspection.
2009 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE:
"A Duct Tightness Test (duct blaster) and Air Sealing Test (blower door) shall be done by a third party verified."
