5-17-17 Compliance Checks
The Chattanooga Police Department and the Hamilton County Coalition conducted a compliance check on 25 convenience stores on May 15, 2017. An 18-year-old buyer went into the stores attempting to buy alcohol. Clerks at twenty of the stores asked for identification and then refused the sale. Clerks at five stores were not in compliance.
5-15-17 Homicide - 3800 block Brainerd Rd.
Investigators with the Chattanooga Police Department have ruled the death of an unresponsive male located in the 3800 block of Brainerd Rd. to be a homicide based on the findings by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner.
5-12-17 Scenic Chattanooga Optimist Club Honors Sgt. Josh May
The Scenic Chattanooga Optimist Club honored Chattanooga Police Department Sgt. Josh May on Friday May 12, 2017 during the club's annual Respect for Law program held in the Broad Street Grille at The Chattanoogan Hotel. The Command Staff of the CPD nominated Sgt. May to Chief of Police Fred Fletcher.
5-14-17 Shooting - 600 block Dodds Ave.
Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot near the 600 block of Dodds Avenue at 11:42 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
5-12-17 Shooting Suspect Arrested - 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd.
The Chattanooga Police Department with assistance from the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office arrested the suspect in a shooting that occurred on March 26, 2017 at 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd.
