Chattanooga Police arrest a man for stabbing another man and charge him with Attempted First Degree Murder.
4-15-17 Shooting - 2440 Williams St.
Chattanooga Police are called to the 2500 block of Market Street for a person shot call.
Police received the call for assistance at 12:08 p.m. on April 15, 2017. These are the preliminary facts of the investigation:
- The Chattanooga Police Department responded to a person shot at 2500 S Market St.
- Upon arrival, police located the victim who was suffering from a gun shot wound
- The victim was transported to a local hospital by HCEMS with non-life-threatening injuries
- A crime scene was established at 2440 Williams St (Motel 6), where the shooting took place
- There is no suspect information at this time
- Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident and following all actionable leads

4-10-17 Traffic Crash/Officer Involved
A Chattanooga Police officer is involved in a two-vehicle crash on Dodson Avenue. The officer and the occupants of the other vehicle were all transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Chattanooga Police find a man lying dead on the sidewalk in the Avondale neighborhood.
UPDATE 4-11-17: 4-9-17 Accidental Shooting - 2600 block E. 21st St.
UPDATE (4/11/13) A 13-year-old boy suffering from a single gunshot wound from an accidental shooting on Sunday, April 9, 2017 has succumbed to his injuries. He passed away Monday evening, April 10, 2017.
Around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017, Chattanooga Police responded to a call for a person shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:
- Chattanooga Patrol Officers arrived on scene to find a 13-year-old boy suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head
- Hamilton County EMS transported the boy to a local hospital
- Another juvenile in the home at the time of the incident called 911 for help
- At this time the victim is listed in critical, but stable condition
- Investigators found no evidence to indicate this was anything other than an accident
- Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident.
