12-3-17 Shooting- Unit block of North Tulip Ave
On December 3, 2017 at approximately 12:52 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to NorthTulip Avenue on a person shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:
12-2-17 Shooting - 100 block Hollyberry Lane
On December 2nd, 2017 at approximately 10:12 p.m. Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital on the report of a person shot.
11-29-17 Pedestrian Struck - 6400 Lee Highway
On November 29, 2017 at approximately 7:00 p.m. the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a pedestrian struck at 6400 Lee Hwy. The following are the preliminary facts of that crash.
12-1-17 Increased Impaired-Driving Enforcement During Holiday Season
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department and other area law enforcement agencies are partnering with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) to increase impaired-driving enforcement from December 1 - 31, surrounding the holiday season. The THSO’s statewide Booze It and Lose It campaign is part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over nationwide mobilization.
11-25-17 Shooting - 4400 block Highway 58
UPDATE:
The ongoing investigation limits the amount of information that can be provided at this time. The preliminary investigation has determined that a Chattanooga State Police officer working an extra job while off-duty fired his weapon in the direction of a shooting suspect. Chattanooga Police Violent Crimes Investigators continue to conduct interviews and process evidence collected at the scene in order to determine if the officer shot this individual or if a suspect in the passing vehicle shot the individual.
Due to the public’s interest in this matter, the Chattanooga Police Department, after consultation with and permission from the Chattanooga State Police Department, would like to inform the public that the Chattanooga State Officer involved is Sergeant Iran Meadows.
