12-13-17 Burglary/Significant Arrest
On December 13, 2017 at approx 11:30 p.m. the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a business burglary at 1500 Broad St. (La Carniceria). The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:
12-12-17 Suspect Arrested/Attempted Rape - MLK Neighborhood
UPDATE (12/13/17):
Chattanooga Police have arrested the suspect in an attempted rape that occurred on December 12, 2017. Thomas Lee Carr was taken into custody on the morning of December 13, 2017. Carr is charged with one count of Attempted Rape.
"I want to thank the numerous community members who provided tips that helped Chattanooga Police Officers quickly identify, locate and arrest this dangerous man," said SVU Sergeant Scott Bales. "Cooperation and willingness to help others is what makes our city a safer place for everyone."

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.

12-8-17 Eleven arrested in prostitution sting
Chattanooga Police Department's Vice and Narcotics Officers arrest 11 men and women during a prostitution sting on December 6 - 7, 2017. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security, and East Ridge Police Department provided assistance in the undercover operation.
12-09-17 Shooting - 6200 Lee Highway
On December 9, 2017 at approximately 12:56 a.m. Chattanooga Police responded to a Person Shot call at a convenience store located at 6200 Lee Highway. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

The purpose of Coffee with a Cop is for community members to discuss public safety matters that are important to them, share ideas and ask questions of police officers. It is our hope that through open, friendly conversation we can build relationships between police officers and the community. VIN etching is provided to help community members safeguard their vehicles from auto theft.
