3-20-17 Distracted Driving Enforcement Citations
The Chattanooga Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol are working together to enforce and educate drivers about distracted driving and the dangers that come along with that behavior.
3-18-17 Motor Vehicle Crash/Critical Injury -
The Chattanooga Police Department investigated a single vehicle crash at 2300 McCallie Ave. which caused the driver to suffer critical injuries. This, after the vehicle traveled on a sidewalk, crossed and intersection and crashed through a locked gate at Parkridge Hospital.

Chattanooga Police Auto Theft Investigators Need Your Help: Lock It Up!
The Chattanooga Police Auto Theft Unit has investigated over 165 reports of stolen vehicles since January 1st of this year, but internal statistics have shown that over a third of those were completely preventable. The cars were either left running and unoccupied or were otherwise left unlocked with the keys inside allowing opportunistic thieves to drive off at their leisure.
3-17-17 Shooting - 3900 block Manor Dr.
The Chattanooga Police Department was informed a person showed up at a local hospital with a single non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Victim was treated and transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center on outstanding attachments.
3-16-17 Warrant Roundup Arrests
The arrests made in the Warrant Roundup are the result of 12 law enforcement agencies working together to put gang members and persistent offenders in jail. A total of 54 people have been arrested, 17 of them are validated gang members. There are also six individuals facing federal charges.
All individuals arrested have committed crimes in the city of Chattanooga.
A few significant arrests include:
Jacob Coyne (Homicide & Esp Agg Robbery)
Troy Timmis (Felony drug possession, Agg Robbery x 2)
Michael Strader (2nd degree Att Murder)
Michael Gervais (Rape of Child, Child Neglect x 3)
Agencies participating in this roundup include: Chattanooga Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriffs Office, East Ridge Police Department, Red Bank Police Department, Marion County Sheriffs Office, Chattanooga Housing Authority, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, US Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, and US Marshal Service.
