7-20-18 CPD collaborates with Junior League of Chattanooga to bring books to kids in our community
Chattanooga, TN (July 20, 2018) – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) and the Junior League of Chattanooga (JLC) recognize reading is one of the most important skills children need in order to succeed, and not all children in our community have access to books and the many benefits reading can provide.
7-20-18 Assistant Chief of Investigations Named
After a comprehensive internal vetting process, Chief David Roddy names a new Assistant Chief to the Chattanooga Police Department Executive Staff. Effective Monday, July 16, 2018, Captain Zac McCullough is the new CPD Assistant Chief of Investigations.
7-15-18 Shooting - 1400 Cowart St.
On 7/15/18 at approximately 0255 hours, Chattanooga Police responded to the area of 1400 Cowart Street on reports of multiple people shot.
7-19-18 Shooting - 4200 Bonny Oaks Dr
On July 19, 2018 at approx 11:36 p.m. the Chattanooga Police Department responded to the 4200 Bonny Oaks Dr on a person who had been shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident.

On 7/13/2018 at approximately 11:19 a.m., Chattanooga Police were dispatched to a deceased party located in a dumpster bin in the 2500 block of Laura Street.
