Assistant Chief McCullough is a native of Chattanooga. He has served with the CPD for 23 years and has a wealth of experience in Investigations, Special Operations, Neighborhood Policing, and Internal Affairs/Professional Standards. In his most recent role as Captain, Zac oversaw the Organized Crime, Violent Crime, and Property Crime Divisions, as well as the Special Victims Unit. "I've known Chief McCullough as long as I've been a Chattanooga Police officer," said Chief David Roddy. "He has built and led great teams in every role with the department. This demonstration of teamwork and the recommendation by Retired Chief Edwin McPherson, made him the obvious choice to continue leading the outstanding bureau of investigators we have in our agency.
McCullough fills the Assistant Chief of Investigations position after Assistant Chief Edwin McPherson retired in May, 2018.
