6-19-19 Arrest - Fatal Drug Overdose
The Chattanooga Police Department Narcotics Unit arrested James Shepherd (30) on a charge of Second Degree Murder. After a thorough investigation, investigators determined Shepherd supplied heroin to a 33-year-old female who was found deceased on June 11, 2019 in a room at 7014 McCutcheon Road. The Hamilton County Medical Examiner's preliminary examination concluded the woman's death was caused by a heroin overdose.
6-15-19 Arrest - Possession/Resale of Drugs
(Chattanooga, TN) - The Chattanooga Police Department Narcotics Unit arrests a suspect on Possession/Resale of Drugs charges and confiscates 50 pounds of marijuana and 23 pounds of THC Oil.
6-12-19 Shooting - 4400 block 10th Ave.
On June 12, 2019 at approximately 6:23 a.m., Chattanooga Police were alerted to a male party who had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
6-14-19 Arrest / Police Pursuit - 1100 I-75 Southbound
(Chattanooga, TN) - On June 14, 2019 at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department joined an ongoing multi-agency pursuit of a suspect wanted for three counts of Aggravated Robbery. The pursuit began in Knoxville, TN where the suspect was able to elude law enforcement who were attempting to serve the felony warrants. The Pursuit ended in Chattanooga, TN at 1100 I-75 Southbound where police were able to stop the suspect and take him into custody.
6-11-19 Warning of Extremely Dangerous Drugs in Circulation
The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) has responded to four suspected drug overdose deaths in just over 24-hours, June 10 - 11, 2019. Toxicology screens are pending, but through investigation officers have determined the four deaths involve the use of illicit drugs.
