Chief Fred Fletcher is pleased to announce several promotions within the Chattanooga Police Department. A total of 37 officers have been promoted which includes six new captains, eight new lieutenants and 23 new sergeants.

Chattanooga Police are called to the 700 block of North Germantown Road in the middle of the day for a person shot.
12-13-16 Emergency Services Minority Internship Program
The Emergency Services Minority Internship Program is a collaborative effort of the Chattanooga Police Department, Chattanooga Fire Department, and Hamilton County 911. Each of these agencies shares the goal of providing a gender-diverse and ethnically balanced workforce, because the most successful emergency service agencies are sensitive to gender, ethnicity, cultural diversity, and sexual orientation. Deadline to apply is Thursday, December 22, 2016.
