5-17-21 UPDATE: Suspect Arrest /5-4-21 Shooting- 2700 4th Avenue
UPDATE (5-17-21): Chattanooga Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of a 17-year-old that occurred on May 3, 2021 in the 2700 block of Fourth Avenue. Federico Brock Jr is charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Aggravated Trespassing. CPD transported Brock to the Hamilton County Jail where he was booked on those charges.

On May 3, 2021 at approximately 8:28 p.m., Chattanooga Police were advised by dispatch that a party had arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:
- Upon arrival, Officers located and confirmed a male party suffering from a non life threatening gunshot wound.
- The victim stated that he had been shot by an unknown party in the area of East Lake Courts..
- Officers were able to locate and secure a crime scene in the 2700 block of 4th Avenue.
- Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit responded to conduct an investigation.
- Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.
