UPDATE: On October 7, 2020, Chattanooga Police Homicide Investigators, with assistance from CPD Fugitive Division, HCSO Fugitive Division, East Ridge PD, Catoosa County Sheriff's Dept and the U.S. Marshal Service, arrested Kenneth King Jr (8/9/89) in connection to the September 29th Homicide of Jacobreyan Reed.
He is charged with Criminal Homicide.

On September 29, 2020 at approximately 5:17 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot call in the 3900 block of Dodds Avenue. The following are the preliminary facts of the investigation:
- Upon arrival, police located the victim sitting in a vehicle, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
- Victim was taken to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS.
- Homicide investigators and crime scene specialists responded to process the scene.
- On September 30, 2020, homicide investigators were notified that the victim succumbed to his injuries.
- Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call the Homicide Tip Line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. You can remain anonymous.
