On July 15, 2019 at approximately 3:29 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 2600 block of Reece Alley on a report of a person shot.
- Upon arrival, police located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
- Hamilton County EMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital.
- Officers secured the scene and called for the CPD Violent Crimes Bureau to respond.
- Investigators were able to identify the suspect as Dewayne Oneal Lawery.
- Warrants have been obtained for attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
