UPDATE: 10-19-18 Suspect Charged in Second Home Invasion/10-11-18 Arrest of Violent Felon/Police Impersonator
The reporting party stated to police, while attempting to enter her home she was approached by four black males identifying themselves as "Chattanooga Police Officers", one of whom was pointing a gun at her. The suspects held her and another party against their will while they stole electronics, cash, and the reporting party's vehicle.
Brown is already incarcerated at the Hamilton County Jail for charges stemming from a Home Invasion that occurred on August 15, 2018. Brown could face more charges as the investigation continues.

Aggravated Robbery x 2, Aggravated Kidnapping x 2, Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Burglary, Criminal Impersonation of a Police Officer, Carjacking

On Thursday, October 11, 2018 at approximately 12:46 p.m., officers with the Chattanooga Police Department attempted a Felony Traffic Stop at Jersey Pike and Hancock Road. As officers approached, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. CPD Street Crimes and Patrol Officers followed the vehicle until it came to the 7400 block of Noah Reid Road. The roadway is closed to motor vehicle traffic at that point, the suspect's vehicle left the roadway, and came to a stop after striking the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks. The driver/suspect, Lajeromeny L. Brown, was apprehended at that time.
Brown suffered non-life-threatening injuries when he crashed the vehicle he was driving. He was transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital. No officers or federal agents were injured. Three CPD vehicles were damaged in the pursuit.
Lajeromeny L. Brown (40) is considered a violent felon and a suspect in an August 15, 2018 incident being investigated by CPD's Robbery Unit. The reporting party stated to police she was outside her home when approached by two black males brandishing handguns who yelled "Chattanooga Police" and forced their way inside her home. The suspects held the victim against her will while they stole electronics, a cellular phone, and vehicle. Brown is also wanted by federal agents for probation violations.
Brown is facing multiple charges to include Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Kidnapping, Impersonating a Police Officer, and Assault on Police. More charges could be added as the investigation continues. CPD and ATF agents continue to pursue leads on other suspects involved with the Robbery that occurred on August 15, 2018.
