8-30-18 CPD Officers Arrest Bank Robbery Suspect
A bank employee called to report the robbery, when police arrived on scene the suspect had already fled in a vehicle. A countywide BOLO was issued for the Chevy pick-up truck. Officers in the 4000 block of 10th Avenue observed a vehicle fitting the description and attempted to execute a traffic stop. The driver of the pick-up crashed at 3600 Dodds Avenue and was taken into custody.
CPD Robbery Investigators along with FBI Agents interviewed the suspect, Larry Gene Maddox, who confessed to robbing the bank. Maddox is charged with Robbery and is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. He was not injured in the crash.
