4-3-18 UPDATE: ARREST - Shooting/Homicide - 800 block Wheeler Ave.
On November 18, 2017 at approximately 5:16 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 800 block of Wheeler Ave. where two victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Ladarius Cross (28) was pronounced deceased on scene and Terrance Careathers (26) was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators worked continuously for more than four months to piece information together in order to charge Crutcher on April 3, 2018.
The circumstances surrounding this homicide remain under investigation.

Chattanooga Police responded to a Motor Vehicle Crash in the 1400 block of Roanoke Avenue. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:
Upon arrival, Chattanooga Police Officers located the single vehicle crash with two people suffering for apparent gunshot woundsThe driver was pronounced deceased on sceneThe passenger was transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuriesAt approximately the same time, another victim suffering for an apparent gunshot wound arrived at a local hospital via personal transport. That party's injuries are considered non-life-threatening.Through investigation and witness cooperation, CPD Officers determined the victims were traveling north in the 800 block of Wheeler Avenue when an unknown suspect shot at the victims' carThe surviving victims did not provide any detailed suspect informationThe two adult victims are known gang membersMembers of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incidentCPD is asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Tip Line at 423-643-5100. Callers can remain anonymous and all tips go directly to investigators.
