On December 21st, the Chattanooga Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint DUI enforcement initiative for the purpose of preventing fatalities and reducing crashes associated with impaired driving during this holiday season. Our law enforcement partnership as well as focused efforts resulted in 17 DUI arrests that removed impaired and dangerous drivers from our city streets and interstate highways, greatly reducing the chances of a fatal or serious crash.
