9-26-17 Aggravated Assault - 1617 Wilcox Blvd.
- The victim had exited her vehicle and was walking toward the CARTA building when the suspect approached her
- The suspect then threw liquid from a cup on to the victim's face and fled the scene
- Bystanders assisted the victim until HCEMS could arrive to treat the victim
- Four other people in the vicinity were also treated for exposure to the liquid
- CFD Hazmat tested the substance on scene and determined it was non-life-threatening
- Some of the substance was sent out for additional testing to determine its exact composition
- The suspect was described as a black female, light complexion, approximate 5’3 to 5’5 in height, wearing rubber gloves, hair net or scarf, blue short sleeve t- shirt, and khaki pants
- Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incident. If you have any information on this incident, please call the Chattanooga Police Department.
