6-12-17 Pedestrian Struck - 200 E. MLK Blvd.
Chattanooga Police responded to 200 East MLK Blvd on a Pedestrian Struck at 4:00 p.m. on June 12, 2017. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:
- Vehicle #1 (a vendor at the Strut) was observed by police in a pedestrian only area of MLK during the festival
- While backing up, Vehicle #1 struck a pedestrian who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries
- The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital by HCEMS who were already on scene for the festival
- The driver of Vehicle #1 was taken into custody for Driving without a Driver's License and Improper Backing
