1-22-17 Shooting - 1800 block South Lyerly St.
At 5:11 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017 Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital concerning a person who had been shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:
- The victim arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound which was non-life-threatening
- The victim did not identify the suspect or how he had arrived at the hospital to investigators
- Police were able to determine that the incident took place at the 1800 block of South Lyerly Street
- Members of the Crime Scene Unit are processing evidence from the scene
- Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are following all actionable leads
- Anyone who has information on this shooting is urged to call police. You can remain anonymous.
